I'll say this much: if SWR/UNL had smaller stages, no dial-A, more balanced characters, no weather... it would be a much better game.

However, over IaMP I do like the variety of characters, new moves, more spells, and more system cards in SWR/UNL. I was a semi-serious SouCal player and I still have a soft spot for II over III and IV, so I can see where you're coming from.

But overall I enjoy the additions they made more than I dislike the minor drawbacks.

Ah, you misread my comment. I was just raging and didn't phrase it properly: Hisouten+ have the potential to make one character play in a multitude of different ways due to deck customizing. The "10 moves" thing was "total", in that you can create two of the same character that end up with entirely different movesets.

Hisoutensoku Youmu is a great example, there's at least three competitive ways to style and play her, and a multitude of other newbish decks that will work in casuals as well.

New Spells... well Suika didn't really gain anything new Spell wise that's useful, so this match is a bad example of that.

But 2/3. Only because Suika is her usual broken loli self that didn't need any new spells. There are a lot of new spells for other characters that add to the strategy of those characters big time.

This is like Melee f8gs complaining about Brawl. Both sequels are much better games.

Sure, weather sucks but there's a patch for that. Expansion of characters, gameplay, and *gasp* more than 1 set of spells and abilities for each character? Why did you even bother Tasofro?

SWR and UNL are truly horrible for building upon a very basic (sorry "technical"...which is another word for "there are about 10 moves per char, let's use the mechanics to make it more complex") game such as IaMP.
