I was referring to safety devices for a heater unit. This gas is very safe indoors when vented to the surrounding air. It is only dangerous when confined in a tube or container. BTW, what are you becoming and when is it going to happen?

"safety devices"? He is venting the hydrogen out into his house from a tea pitcher....how is that safe? This is what amazes me with how people are experimenting with this technology.

hey what are you doing to use up or carry away the unused electricity in the cell? this is no criticism just trying to learn :-) thanks for sharing really nice setup

Nice setup. I like the design of your safety devices and your cell design, very slick. Maybe you would like to join our research group and begin working on some projects with us. You can reach me here or on yahoo, great job.

Nice. Some folks think the secret is more volts. SmartScarecrow believes that the higher voltages create heat...which would be wasteful, wouldn't it?

Very nice high quality build. When I am done playing with my small nickel cell and testing the urea my next major project will be a wall current cell. If what I think will happen pans out that would be one heck of a lot of nickel.

what is the cell configure? is it in series, -nn.............nn+ ? have you tried all negative left evenly with all positive on the right side/either or, would that work?

it's a complete series cell.. positive on one end, negative on the other, with all the other plates as neutrals.

thanks! it's a self built system that's based on other designs. I wanna scale this up by a factor of 5, but the materials and the fact that I'm now unemployed are preventing me from doing so. This will do 20LPM with 20A, but I've got it running around 15-16A due to all the breakers in my house are 20A and pop when I really run this at peak levels. I believe a much bigger unit is capable of 100+ LPM and likely use the same current draw.
