@veteran714 When did he die?

@dippercat This is why many of us call it the Rock & Roll Hall of Shame. It's suppose to honor Alan Freed, yet Freed never played Hip Hop or Rap. The groups that began it all are overlooked. Hell, they didn't introduce the Flamingos until most of them were dead. Shameful, down right shameful.

The Spaniels are one of my all time favorite groups but if you had to chose just one song from the Doo Wop era what would it be? A tough choice made a bit easier if you make an all time favorite list and then chose one. I want to get everyones choices and compile a list to be played by a dj before December 23 2012 when the Mayan Calendar predicts the world will end

sing it "pookie and the spaniels. did they ever make a bad side?thank you soooooooo much for the memories tom d brick,nj
This is one of my all time favorite Spaniels songs. I met Pookie when I was a teenager and aspiring singer. We stayed in touch over the years. I sung this song at the repast after his Home going Service in DC. It was my way of paying homage to the greatest male lead in a vocal group of all time. Smokey Robinson, Aaron Neville and others all copped something from Pookie's style. He was the original, make no mistake. He should be in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
