a johnny mandel academy award-classic from the film The Sandpiper,recorded by shirley in 1966 with ralph burns orchestra for her first us-album "I've got a song for you"US release "shirley means bassey".The song was first recorded by tony bennett.-and some of the pictures are from shirley's 1966 coconut grove opening in L.A.

The very best version of this song, EVER! Shirley puts so much emotion into every note she sings and does such justice to the song because she sings the entire song, including the intro, which is such an important part of any song. TY so much for this classy video! :)

@Thorneycroft1937 thank you for your reply-i appreciate your words-you are a real shirley admirer.i saw shirley several times in person,my mother took me to my first shirley concert when i was 7!!years old,the last time i saw her on stage was in london,in oct.2009.i can't put in words what she means to me and i'm happy that even younger people can fell in love with this extraordinary lady.
