are there bears around where you live?

@c00lb0y10 Yes, there certainly are bears here though they are not commonly seen. The Asian black bear is not too large though it can be dangerous if startled or threatened. Thanks for watching! ~Kurt :-)

Given the population density of Japan, do you often meet other hikers?

@SargonBighorn There are many hikers in Japan though I rarely see any... This is because Japanese people prefer to hike on well known, established trails while I rather hike on deserted farm roads and strange out-of-the-way places. Thanks for watching! ~Kurt :-)

That view of Mt Fuji is breathtaking. If I ever go to Japan, I'm sure I'll be overwhelmed by its beauty.
