@PPK5 i am 17 and got the same opinion
once bitten by a land rover always a land rover

If it take a while to settle after going over speed bumps then it will be the shocks. They are old now so its expected. Not sure about any aftermarket stuff not looked into it yet. Don't want to get my hopes up before i have the funds!

i think that my be the case. if i open the back boot door and sit on the door then you can feel that the whole car just lowers alot down. what are the optimum shocks for this car>
-
if it bounces allot and has allot of bodyroll then its proberbly worn out shocks
-
try an anti-roll bar. I have one on my 1995 Discovery, but my Range Rover Classic will have one soon.
Amazing landing, did it take too much damage?

No, it was a race of 4 x 8 rounds. So we've taken that hill 32 times ;-)
