My video is about why I wanted a Will and why it took me so long to finally get one, with the help of LegalZoom.
This was always on my "to do" list for years. I procrastinated, I attempted with store bought software, got frustrated and kept putting it off.
One day a dear, young friend of mine passed away without a Will and his assets went into probate. This prompted me to take action.
I saw the commerical for Legal Zoom on the same day of his death. I thought it was a sign, honestly. So, I logged on to legalzoom.com just to get info and figure it out. I started answering the questions and within 20 minutes, I had completed my Will. 20 minutes!

Having a will DOES NOT avoid probate for you, it will just reduce the cost of probate. This is misleading. Only a trust based estate plan will avoid probate. Please go talk to an attorney, it might cost more money- but it's WORTH IT.
