Starsiege: Shields part 3

The Oly and the Exec: One of the "secrets" in Starsiege is that each HERC has a set of shield weak points. Hitting these points can increase the shield damage of your weapons, ALOT. This video demonstrates some of the shield weaknesses of the Executioner and Olympian. The shooter is an Olympian with 2 MFACs, 2 EMPs, and 2 light lasers. The light lasers are used to show the target location with an external view. Then when the target's Fastcharge shields are all recharged, the Olympian fires at the same spot with the MFACs and EMPs so you can see just how much shield damage is done on the HUD. It can be quite surprising: Just a tiny bit of targeting distance can make the difference between damaging the shields halfway and turning the armour red.

o and i figured out something shield's only are week at the connector at the joints like on the apoc it is in between the shin and theigh

Very insightful, but it's not just the joints and not always the joints. Take a look at the gun towers on the Ajudicator for example:  no joint but they are almost unshielded. Then take a look at the Shepherd's knees as another example: not very weak at all.

I haven't studied the weak points of the tanks in depth (they don't have shields). However, The best places in general to shoot the dreadlock are dead centre in the cockpit and in the sides of the treads. Both are partially occluded by the big bulldozer blade.
