@elibeth121 if you fully agree with the bible then your parents did a very bad job at teaching you ethics and morals. god is not love, he threatens and kills people all the time, just? a lot of his victims were innocent kids and babies. mercy? he punish people with eternal damnation. happyness? I doubt people wandering a desert for so many years were happy. if you agree with the bible then go kill homosexuals then message me after your trial to know how you did.

@elibeth121 It's weird that a God would need to channel his message through fallible humans. I mean, being omnipotent and all, I would've expected him to use more sophisticated methods to spread his word clearly.

@ChaoticRupture, I know what you mean, somehow the God portrayed in the Bible doesn't seem very loving.

I find it interesting that religions which have begun in harsh environments have meaner gods than religions in nice climates. It always seemed strange to me that the Promised Land wasn't in Hawaii!

@yarnpower And it's not just that, god killed a lot of innocent kids just to teach the pharaoh a lesson to show him who's boss. and the fact that he flooded the earth...animals and everything, he didn't cared about innocent kids or babies. many other things like striking down Uzzah just because he touched the ark of the covenant while trying to prevent it from tipping over. David and Bathsheba's baby was killed in order to punish David. we are supposed to love that monster?

Great video! I personally believe in a God that is a life force, rather than a punishing, heaven/hell judge at the end of our physical lives.

Religions are too frequently a way for some to make a lot of money & live in luxury while telling others what God's rules are, because they know!

When we look at the Catholic Church, for example, and all the wealth that they have accumulated, can we believe that Jesus would ever approve of those accumulated riches as long as there are starving people?

@elibeth121 , are you saying that Satan wrote the Bible, because it has lots of stories of God being really mean and killing people. Did Lot's wife deserve to be turned to a pillar of salt for taking a last look back at her home? Did her kids deserve to lose their mom for that? The Bible condones slavery and stoning disobedient children, did Satan write that part? And if Satan didn't why, did God include those evil things as okay?

@ChaoticRupture , your comment reminded me of being in 2nd grade parochial school and being read about Lot's wife looking back, against God's order, at their home city as they were leaving it. So He turned her to salt. And my 7 year old self thought, that is just being so mean! And what about her children, seeing that happen to their mom and now motherless? That was the start of realizing that my church was selling the idea that God was mean but somehow we should love Him!

Adam and eve had two sons. in order to have more kids, the only women there is eve so basically the family had group sex and got eve preggos and that's how humanity started. how nice, i am a child of incest.
