Menuhin was unlucky in the sense that the age of television and film clips was developing exactly at the time when his technique, and particularly his intonation and bow stability were on the decline. However if you search, you can still find some incandescent and beautiful playing from his earlier years. He was also quite honest about the decline in his bow control, and it must have been awful to go through it after such a stella young career.

absolutely. and even though he had terrible bow problems the message and intensity of the music he plays are always clear and beautiful. and what a wonderful vibrato. matches that of Kreisler
