  • Hi Ike, I have a Hoyt Ultramag set at 60lb's What arrow and size would You recomend?

  • @kruiser98 What is your draw length? A 400 spine would be my guess but if you have a long draw you may need to go with a 340. I like Victory arrows myself. i have had good luck with them the past few years.

  • @ikesoutdoors Hi mate, My draw lenght is 28 Inches.

  • @kruiser98 the .400 spin should work out good for you with a 100 grain head. If you want to shoot a 125 grain head I would recommend the .340

  • @kruiser98 I would say that the 400 spine would be fine.

  • thanks for this series of videos it helped me greatly and i started my own note book that is going to stay in my bow case so if anything ever happens i will have the resources to fix it

  • @MidSouthBowHunter No problem. We also have a DVD out called Bow Tuning Basics that touches on Walkback tuning, paper tuning and broadhead tuning. It also comes with flash cards that you can take with you while you tune your bow. You can find it on our website.

  • Thanks for taking the time to do the video. I found this very helpfull as i am new to the sport and using used equipment.

  • @huntinutah a 400 spine arrow is not as stiff as a 350 spine arrow. i think u have it backwards. and i dont think its a 400grain spine just 400 spine. and my buddy has a hoyt Rampage XT which i think is faster than ur hawk and hes got a 28" draw and he was told by pros to use a 400 spine. so i think ur 400 is fine. unless u have like a 30"+ draw then u might wana go up to a 340 spine. just google easton shaft selector. they have a site that tells u what to use.

  • @dugy40 Well I like to say your right, I just bought a Hoyt Turbohawk 2010 on April 7 2011 from Hidden Valley Outdoors in Saint Clairesville Ohio. I sighted in. knocked a NAP Razorback 100 grain 20 yards 4 bulls eyes. Now thats with 60lbs-28 inch draw- Apex 4pin- WB rest and Cabelas 400 spine carbon hunter blazer arrows. they come to about 369 gains.
