Using the Mix Window

To open the mix window, navigate to the top menu bar and click Window -- Mix. You can also press Command+= (equal sign) on your keyboard. You can perform these same actions to close the mix window as well.

The mix window is responsible for mixing your tracks that you have in the edit window.

Mixing is what balances out how loud or soft you hear certain tracks and sounds in a song. This could relate to volume, panning, effects and sub-mixes.

The mix window has a multitude of channels strips that have all have the same types of Inserts, Sends, Inputs, Outputs and Automations, along with Pan Knobs, Record Enable buttons, Solo buttons, Mute buttons and Volume faders.

  • How do you change the size of the mix window? I want it to be small so I can see everything. The way it is set up now is I have to scroll down to see the name of the track then scroll back up to see the inserts and sends. I just want to see evrything on the mix window without having to scroll.
