My 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP on the dyno at the GOClubGP 2009 dyno day. I made 245HP and 326FT/Lbs at the wheels. Mods listed towards the end of the video.

    The 04+ GTP/06+ GT came with the Eaton generation V M90 supercharger with is more efficient than the gen III that came on the 97-03 GTP's, resulting in a 20hp gain at the crank.

  • @balbright190 That is at the flywheel/crank. Every car loses horsepower once it gets to the wheels. Usually about 15 to 20% loss is experienced.

    The stock M90 can be ported but if you're pulling it off you might as well switch over to a genV m90 and port it. There's a few Whipple kits, but you need an adapter for the LIM and it's not made anymore. Someone is currently working on a TVS1320 build as well, not sure what all is involved with that though.

    Buy a used turbo kit :D

  • The earlier gtp's are better, even though they start with 240 horses because a smaller pulley can be used to bump them way up. small pulleys in the 260hp gtp's are not recommended due to higher knock retard

  • @kyle99gtp alot of people post comments on youtube and have no idea what they are talking about, just thought i would give everyone a little lesson on the drive train loss. And then you have people that say yor old gtp sucks, well in all honesty it did, BUT they could be modded for a small chunk of change and you could easliy dip into the 12;s with these cars. A 12 second DD for me is pretty damn good. Im looking for a gtp now so i dont put miles on my cobra. check out my video of my 98 cobra

  • @balbright190 gen v blowers are not that expensive if i remeber correctly, i think you can get one with supporti9ng mods for like 1200. thats cheap if you ask me. a KB blower for my old cobra was 6000 and that was with bare min supporting mods.
