Army specialist jailed for rap song about stop-loss

Army specialist Marc Hall has been jailed after writing a rap song against the Army's controversial stop loss policy and mailing it to the Pentagon. The stop loss policy makes it legal for the army to extend a soldier's deployment or service beyond their designated time in the military. Hall isn't the first soldier to raise questions about the policy, but now his could have further implications for freedom of speech in the army.

@bgbaywood As Obama said, war or an occupation can be justified through humanitarian means. Or something like that. Those people were thanking me last time I was there, I was completely alone and unarmed. They had nothing to be afraid of, so I don't see why they'd pretend.

Most of the stories of war come out of the cities; where they didn't need us. They were already wealthy enough to live in developed areas. Most people aren't so lucky.

I don't know, can attempting suicide be considered sane?

@bgbaywood Just an FYI, America fought for it's freedom from imperial England. It's how America came into existance. You people killed, again, tens of thousands of Americans. The casualties on the American side by far outnumber the losses on the Canadian and English side.
