Goodbye Godaddy.com and Bob Parsons

As an animal lover and person who buys multiple domains per year I can no longer give my business to Godaddy.com. I've disliked Godaddy's advertising and marketing tactics of the last few years and was never a fan of the constant up-sell of hosting and domains, but it never made me angry. Bob Parsons killing an elephant and posting a video about it has made me angry and I hope it motivates other current Godaddy.com customers to leave as well.

I'll be moving all of my domains next week and as long as Bob Parsons is the CEO of Godaddy.com I want them to lose all their customers. If he leaves, I'm not going back, but I don't wish any ill-will upon them.

I get that you and most of the commenters here are pissed about the dead elephant. But the lack of outrage about Go Daddy's blatantly sexist advertising is disturbing. Maybe you don't have wives, gfs, daughters, or sisters that you care about. Or maybe the old saying is right, "sexism sells". Either way, it's shameful.

I dumped godaddy and wrote a letter of protest to Parsons. Apparently, the elephant he killed was a young female, not a bull, as Parsons claimed. So much wrong with this jerk and his story. The godaddy hats on the locals butchering the elephant were a nice touch, huh? Once he sells godaddy to KKR (as has been rumored this morning in Forbes) and joins their billionaires list, I wonder if he'll expand his trophy hunting??? At least I will no longer be putting money in his pocket.

LOL. You failed to mention that the elephant was butchered and fed all the villagers in the area. How many burgers, chicken sandwiches or filets have you eaten? All those animals were butchered. What makes an un-endangered elephant any different? The one elephant fed an entire village. What would rather have those people starve? It saved a farm and fed an entire village for a day. get off your pseudo moral pedestal. I bought 3 new domains because of this video.
