Every human knows the laws of the creator god. I think what they want is to chrash the temple down, so that the most evil leader, in whatever form or look he will appear, can set a new temple for himself on top of it and will rule the world. The synagogue that is being spoken of was purchased centuries ago, and was destroyed twice by Arabs, so that it took the name: HaHurban. The most recent destruction was by Jordanian troops in 1948. It was destroyed because it was the main synagogue of Ashkenazi Jewry in Jerusalem. In 1967, the Old City came back to Israel, and this former Jewish neighborhood was again populated by Jews.
