I sure was, and that's typically how action RPGs with melee characters work (especially on the harder difficulty levels). You get in close and hammer away at the enemy and the "1" at the same time. It's not rocket science, but it get's the job done...
Well, it wasn't exactly developed by four guys in a basement or anything so it's not the "indiest" indie game ever, but Runic Games is still far from the likes of Blizzard and Infinity Ward...
Well, there's always Dragon Age: Origins (official release tomorrow). Could be awesome, but it could also be as boring as most Bioware games since Baldur's Gate in my opinion...
