@varocks183 if you dont have a lighter or matches you live in the 1500's AD, lol jk just put a lighter and matches in a ziplock bag and then another ziplock bag and you wont worry about them getting wet. Otherwise, you can try your luck with firesteel or magnesium, or better yet, learn to make a friction fire the native american way! (not for me though)
