Discussion, observation and projective methods are used. Sessions can be individual, in pairs, or as groups. In a group discussion a moderator will direct conversation. These interviews best take place in person, but may be carried out by telephone, or online. The Delphi technique uses a carefully designed questionnaire that is circulated to selected experts; there are several rounds that result in a forecast. In grounded theory, collected information is inspected and the researcher will ground explanations in the data. Ethnography and action research is participant observation. Semiotics is the study of communication by careful analysis of signs. http://www.oxfordtextbooks.co.uk/orc/bradley2e
