@PANDAbwer if you use auto body paper you can polish tyour sword to its original beauty. but you have to spend DAYS doing it. you start with 400 then 800 then 2000 grain. and your sword will look like glass with the fold lines still visible.

that looks like mission impossible

you can do a hybrid polish with sandpaper, if the blade is unfinished or scratched badly, you can start with 400 grit and work up to 2000.
if it's not marred, i would suggest around 1000 grit or 1200, up to 2000.
google up a tutorial. Do not do this to any nice swords. If it's over 1500 dollars or so, pay to have it polished.

hi!
can you tell me how much a hazua stone costs?.. also do you know the tools and techniques to carve a sword?, I mean I saw in another youtube video , a beautuful sword with a carved dragon in the sword itself, and would like to learn about it, thanks!

yes

i cant afford those. maybe cheaper alternatives like sandpaper?

If you want a japanese style polish then google hybride polishing. Or if you just want to sharpen it then a diamond file will work.
@vercetti3690
Sandpaper will destroy all the features on your sword beyond repair. It's not worth it.

@PANDAbwer If it's an antique yes, but if it's a cheap sword meant for using it's no problem.
