wasn't that Leon Rausch singing? whoever, that was a great representation for the greatest western swing band of all time.....Spade Cooley liked to call himself the "king of western swing" but he was just a pretender!

Very cool, the Great Herb Remmington on steel guitar, and the Late Great Leon Chambers on Lead.

@Anna1755 Austin you say? Take me back to the Stampede Club in Big Spring Texas! It's the "Dance Hall of Dreams" as far as Western Swing goes!

I had the chance to play with The Playboys a few years ago. I play fiddle, guitar, piano and steel guitar. It was neededless to say a highlight in my life. Especially playing with Leon Rausch, Bobby Boatwright, Tommy Alsup, and Johnny Gimble. The only reason was some kind of flu had taken hold of a few of the other Playboys, and the fact that I am a Great-Newphew of one of the guys. It was really great, I'll never forget it. Wish there would be a resugance of Western Swing ya can dancwe to.
