Jason Silva (filmmaker and founding producer/host for Current TV), one of our earliest readers, was so inspired by Abundance that he made this video mash-up!

Since the dawn of humanity, a privileged few have lived in stark contrast to the hardscrabble majority. Conventional wisdom says this gap cannot be closed. But it is closing—fast. In Abundance, space entrepreneur turned innovation pioneer Peter H. Diamandis and award-winning science writer Steven Kotler document how progress in artificial intelligence, robotics, infinite computing, ubiquitous broadband networks, digital manufacturing, nanomaterials, synthetic biology, and many other exponentially growing technologies will enable us to make greater gains in the next two decades than we have in the previous two hundred years. We will soon have the ability to meet and exceed the basic needs of every man, woman, and child on the planet. Abundance for all is within our grasp.

  • Anyone ever seen Zeitgeist Moving Forward, or Zeitgeist Addendum? We already have the technology to create an abundant sustainable technological world where everyone has free access to the neccesities of life. However our economic system is built on producing "value" from scarcity.

  • Zeitgeist Moving Forward is one of my favorite documentaries. Post Scarcity

  • Nice video. BAAAAAAD choice in bg music.

The world already has an ABUNDANCE of videos using that track.

  • @gasto5 at the very least the segment about Christianity is filled with simply false claims and relatively weak arguments to back them up

I don't have to the time to rewatch it and take notes etc. but simply google searching its facts is interesting material. have fun

  • @TheJb1rd fallacious? how come? I perceived a very solid case against the status quo.

  • @MrAdvancedAtheist Overgeneralization. There are very capable Mexicans as well. I agree that people need to be educated, this applies to some Germans as well.

  • @MrAdvancedAtheist Yeah, my main disagreement with the Venus Project is central planning. In fact the very contrary should be made. An emergent decentralized simbiotic system much alike what the Internet has produced today.

  • Cool video. Too bad capitalism is really stagnating so much abuncance.

  • ZEITGEIST MOVING FORWARD, watch it!

We cant have an abundance within the current socio-economic paradigm.

Its time we shift and transcend into a better system.

  • Jason Silva is one of the most inspiring persons alive

  • @TheJb1rd Yeah, they actually detail an alternative social structure that doesn't have the same problems that our current system is creating (elite ruling class, corruption, pollution, inequality, unsustainable consumption, etc.)

  • @bighands69 Jacque Fresco came of age when intellectuals thought that the cool utopian civilization called the Soviet Union, with its Five Year Plans and such, showed us "the future that works." Well, we know how that experiment tuned out, but Fresco doesn't seem to have changed his mind about central planning since the 1930's.
