  • dude im so freakin scared i have the compition like this saturday and sunday

so that leaves me about umm..... five days and im jest doing the test im so scared and i cant really sit trot lol cuz i havnt ridin like forever but for my place they call the course out when you ride so that makes me a little better :]

    any advise?

besides you have an amazing horse and im amazed that you didnt even get a 7 :D

besides i trully think youll be a hole bunch better keep up the great work!!

  • thanks, it's natural to feel scared, just use the adreneline to help you do well.

my main advice is accurate figures/geometry and FORWARD FORWARD FORWARD. Impulsion and willingness to go forward is key especially at1st level because it is the first REAL level of dressage.

thanks for the compliments, this is my old horse and we sold him a few months ago, i just bought a young paint that i'm training for eventing, but i'll always miss this guy.

  • We got a 61% on this test. We were marked down majorly for his speed since he doesn't have natural impulsion in his step. But hey, he was SO amazing for being a young, green five year old QUARTER HORSE showing against seasoned warmbloods.

  • oo i love your seat at the canter.

Very nice. im sure you'll have succesfull riding career

  • great video! i love your horse. I have an appendix QH that i'm starting dressage with. we're hoping to get into eventing as well. Keep up the good work!

  • QH's can too do dressage. we have a registered QH at my barn who can kick butt at dressage (when hes not being lazy or an ass). not to mention that hes an amazing eventer too

  • i just got my qh july 1st 2008 and i am going 2 start showing him at training level this summer so look at my page 4 some vids of us 2 prove that quarter horses can do dressage!!!!!!!!

  • I 100% agree. I ♥ QHs :D

  • I'm a "more QHs in dressage" enthusiast. I'm tired of the QH's can't do dressage mentality from the dressage queens. While most QH's aren't naturally built to do dressage, there is enough variation in the breed for a few to excel in it. I've seen a few that could have more than held their own in the dressage ring.

  • yeeeee... im doing this test for a show.. im not really a dressage rider, more of a hunter but i like the challengee.. showing is my favorite thing to do.. ITS SOO EXCITING lol, so i wouldnt be suprised if i ended up with a 41% :P, maybe a little..;) but then for next time ill know what ill have to work on.

  • hehe i got first ever tho there was only one other person besides me doing it ha!

and i would love to see the young paint :D
