Live performances are not everything. Why would I want to listen to a band live? New music is terrible. Even the Stone are re-releasing their old stuff. Why not make new stuff? Online music is not the problem. Music is the problem. it's so bad it's not even worth getting for free.

@Styphelus Yes interesting. And it is true that live performers sometimes struggle to recreate the studio sound on stage.

I think CDs should be sold at the band's concert... and/or should be included in the purchase of the concert... say: the concert ticket goes for about $50 + dollars... the concert ticket should costs $70 and include t-shirts and other s&%$ that fans love... I don't buy a CD until a hear a performer live b/c if they have little to "no talent" (which is the case a lot these days...) I'll take my $20 and buy gas... live performances rock and I'll spend my life's saving for a good one....

@1forestcat unfortunatley you will soon no longer have a choice CD's are a dieing breed why would anyone logically continue to make something that no longer makes any money everything will be free on downloads

I would rather go to a retailer (a physical store or an online store) and buy a physical disc - WHY? Because computers are constantly under attack by hackers and even though you use good quality Anti-virus software, and update daily, the crooks crash your computer often - and to fix it is very expensive. Cheaper in the long run to have a physical disc than to be hostage to downloads. Sony can shove their downloads up their ARSES.
