This is my submission for the Sally Anthony Machine Gun iPad Contest. My friends, please share this with everyone you know! I would like to get as many views as possible before the contest ends August 1st, 2011.
The vocals may be a little hard to hear over the song.
Basically, I am talking about how the clothing worn is constricting, it can get ripped, or get in the way. Hair is a problem too, enemies love to grab long hair and take a nice hunk out of your skull.
And those awesome "knock the enemy's head off" kicks don't work in tight skinny jeans or leather pants, and if you can't get your foot above your waist, the enemy can grab it and have complete control over you.
The second is the landing roll. People run across with their gun, diving for cover, but what's unrealistic about it is that it kinda hurts, and really makes you cough, which NO movie character has done, so far as I know.
The next is spinning the gun before putting it in the holster. Obviously, since mine isn't real, there's no weight at the back to put the spin on it. Still, it takes some heavy practice once you do get it.
The next is MUSCLE! I have some--but not a whole lot--and even I'm not sure that I would make the cut if I was going to stand there with a gigantic RPG and expect it to hit its target and not find myself on my butt! So muscle really counts, those pin-thin supermodel heroines aren't realistic at all. Nobody likes a Mary Sue/Warrior Sue that much...
Finally, grabbing the machine gun by the trigger and barrel and just blasting it. Al Pacino tried that in Scarface, and they had to put off filming for a couple of weeks because he burned his hand so badly. John Basalone, a Medal of Honor hero from WWII actually succeeded at doing that, but he was the ultimate exception, and went on to be one of the posterboys for the US Army. He burned his hand very badly as well. Those things just don't work!
And please let me know if you guys liked this type of video. I would be happy to do more, and I will monitor the audio next time, as I will have learned what does and does not work.
