Hey there,
are the screws from the attached legs that protrudes from the surface of the lightbox as a result removable? I 'm asking because I was wondering if the lightbox wouldn't be dismantled if I did that so in order to work on a flat surface?

Yes became it is LED it does not look that bright. We are in the process of making another video with a better video camera. The soft white led gives more light then the standard yellow light and does not blind you.

The light box is easy on the eyes while at the same time it is bust as bright or brighter. P

Yes you can remove the screw and pegs. The light box will still be intact, there is double sides adhesive tape that keep the frame together, but the Pegs Screw help secure them, but you can remove it and it would still work great, just got to kee p your eye on it. Thanks

It looks like there are GRIDS, but because of all the small Fiber Optic holes it looks like a Grid. Most people love that it has a kinda grid on there. But at the same time you can not see it, so it does not get in the way.

Since these are LED, these bulbs will not burn out. The power pack would be the only thing that would burn out.

Does the light shine through bristol, or heavier weight papers?

The light may look like it cant, but YES the light box works very good and will work on heavier weight paper.
