Most students who graduate college can recall the time they spent learning more about their chosen vocation through an internship. Students who aspire to become teachers are no different and usually spend a semester at a school somewhere in the country learning how to effectively reach and teach the youth of today and leaders of tomorrow. Chad, a student who was about to graduate in the College of Education, first spent a semester abroad as a student teacher. He is a nontraditional student who chose to travel to the Netherlands to finish his time as a Penn State student. Watch as he teaches, but also learns about other cultures and what it feels like to be away from his wife and two children.

I did my student teaching in Jonkoping, Sweden. It was the best experience of my life! Thanks, Penn State!
