Told you before Ger, stick to the cheap and cheerful and throw them away when they break...ha..ha..Bob, but seriously, you shouldn't be having those problems with top of the range mics, especially at those prices.

The camera work on this video is exceptional. Very well done!

Thank you very much. It was a good day although I had problems with my mic.

The music at the beginning is fine Ger, but all train sounds are left hand only whether through speakers or headphones...is it because you're using a mono mic?...Bob

The mic Ive been using is my Senn MKE300. It is an excellent mic but mono.
Before that I had another MKE300. Both mics have developed the same fault.
Wires inside cable causing connection problems! Sound cuts out! This happened in Tenby with Cromwell of all places. Didnt know there was a aproblem until I got home. Hence no sound at shot in Pyle! I have since learned that this problem is common with the MKE 300. So other steam videographers have informed me.

The new mic is a Rode NTG-2 which is very sensitive. Looking into better wind reduction gear at the moment. However the mic has a lot more bass than my MKE300.
Used new mic on last 2 shots of KE1 2 weeks ago. The first 2 shots were with my MKE300 which decided to work that day!
I have clicked on the thumbs down by mistake! Cant seem to revert back. Ignore this if it comes up on your system as -1.

Congratulations Ger, an excellent video and great locations especially the pull out of Tenby. The sound is restricted to the left hand channel though...5* Bob

No problems with the sound on my laptop? Do you have external speakers on your laptop?
