Efter Repetitionen is a very self-referential work of Bergman - perhaps the most. Erland Josephsson plays the role of a rational and self-controlled theater director who reminisces about a former lover, and gifted actress.
In this scene you see Henrik (Erland Josephsson) and Rakel (Ingrid Thulin) in one of many intense and emotional dialogs. Rakel is playing emotional games with Henrik.
