I was there. When he walked (or did he run?) out on stage, I gasped. Loved him for years and seeing him live was one of the most profound experiences of my life. I guess you'd have to be a Cohen fan to know how good that feels.

So many miles away and I still cry when Leonard speaks this poem-song.
"But you look good, you really do" is spoken with such bittersweet poignancy that my eyes and heart spontaneously tear.
