Here is a short visit of my studio, I am quite unfamiliar with the video recorder therefore Iet me apologize for the jitter and blur...
On this video one can spot a mixed MOS-LAB COTK modular ( Moog modular clone ), a Synthesizers.com System 88, a Manikin Memotron keyboard and Memotron rack, a Waldorf Microwave XT, a Yusynth Modular, a Roland Laboratory System 700, a Crumar Multiman S, a Yamaha CS15, a Roland SH5, a PPG-100 modular, a Minimoog and a Yamaha CS10.
The soundtrack is a short piece (strongly influenced by Tangerine Dream circa 1975) I composed and played with some of these instruments for a friend's birthday last year.

  • Congratulations Yves, amazing Berlin School music!!! Pure Tangerine Dream!!!

And about your studio, what to say... I dreamland for synth-lovers.

  • @Thalassa77 Hi Thalassa77, thanks for the congrats ! This is true that most of my interest for those big machine came from my passion for the Tangerine Dream (circa 1970-1977) and other Berlin School musicians such as Klaus Schulze. Therefore I am very much influenced by them ;-)

  • Hi Yu Synthman,

Is there really big difference between the Memotron rack sound quality and the Gforce M-tron sound quality? I heard the Memotron key got 3 and the Memotron rack got 6 voices/sounds, is it possible to layers them all through 1 midi channel so you can get a polyphonic effect? For me the sound quality is very important is the hardware provides more phat, warmer, clearer sound i might go for the rack.

  • @crypticunknown yes there is a big difference because some of the banks are recorded from good master tapes (the Studio collection). Anyway if you like the M-Tron banks you can also use them in the Memotron, they are fully compatible. Concerning the rack version, yes there are six voices and can pile them up in many different combinations. This way you'll get multi-timbrality (I suppose tht is what you meant when using the word polyphony).
