@eggmangoogoogoojoob Thank you. I might get to try it some day, I've been using the F100 for a while and I love it, though I like the design of FM2 and how everything is manual.

@NijinoHaru Where do I start? The FM2 is as basic as they come - built tough, but manual focus, manual exposure and manual film transport. It works perfectly well without a battery, although you'll need a couple of button cells for the most rudimentary + or - exposure metering (having said that, the meter is very accurate). Flash synic is a very respectable 1/250 and the shutter speed range is 1-1/4000+B. The high tech and fully automated F100 is the polar opposite of the FM2.

Ive owned mine from new purchased in Cardiff in 1984.
Recently i took it into a respected dealers and they were amazed at the condition of its camera case almost like new.
They were renouned for splitting but mine now over 25yrs old is almost mint.
Give one of these beautifull cameras to a youngster used to only digital and they would be lost because its regarded as one of the finest totally manual cameras ever made.

What are the major differences between FM2 and F100 ?

Let me guess, the 7 people who didn't like this would rather play with their digital crap cameras and use iPhoto than use a real camera.
