Paul Finebaum caller talking about poisoning the Auburn University Toomer's corner trees.
The tip from "Al" on the call led to testing of the soil by Auburn and confirmed. Harvey Almorn Updyke Jr., 62 of Dadeville, was arrested Thursday and was charged with one count of first-degree criminal mischief. His bond is set at $50,000.
Auburn does not expect the trees to survive, but is doing everything possible to save them.

@36brownboi Its not just trees. They have been there for a really long time. Its tradition to roll them trees for a very long time. You dont see ppl screwing their shit up. Sometimes you just gotta draw a line on whats right.

@PKP405 Im a die hard AUBURN fan but I would never ever do anything like that to the Bama team. I understand loving your team but he did cross the line with what he did. I agree with you that it was a low blow. Some people are just crazy. Its the world we live in. I will speak for myself and say I dont hold grudges to bama for this like alot of people have but i do think that guy is sick and needs help.

I've been a Crimson Tide fan my whole life. But this is truly despicable. What Updyke did was top-tier douchebagery and anybody who agrees with what he's done is just as ignorant and stupid as he is. The Iron Bowl will always be around, but, this is hitting waaaay below the belt if you ask me. Most of the replies that I'm seeing are less than a month old!?! Does anybody even remember Chizik and the rest of the gang showing up to help clean up after the storm last April?
