@ACPM74 As the title suggests, these aren't rotator cuff exercises but scapular stabilization exercises.
Exercises don't go "out-of-date" but the knowledge base supporting their use in specific populations is continually updated.
You sound like you have a little knowledge - why don't you try to restrict your comments to a more professional level rather than using terms like "idiot" if you disagree with or aren't clear about the meaning of the video?

Yes, I think conservative shoulder stabilization, with exercises and physical therapy examination by a licensed physical therapist, should definitely be tried before surgical stabilization.

will i be able to do benchpress and shoulder press again after proper rehab without shoulder stablisation surgery? if not, with surgery will i be able to do those exercises?

@massgilms It's hard to say - were you injured in an accident or did the bench presses and the shoulder presses contribute to the instability?

okay i notice that you havent made a comment in a while but i hope you can get back to me. I have had two rotator cuff surgeries where i ended up re injuring myself, and about 6 months ago had the laterjet procedure done if you know what that is, if not i can explain it or you can look it up. i dont have too much trouble carrying things at work and what not, but i want to get back into boxing and jiu jitsu VERY badly. please help me get my shoulder strong enough to make those a hobby again.

@vintastic319 Not sure what I can do. Have you seen a physical therapist?
cervelo58 10 months ago
@cervelo58 not after this surgery. 3 of them have left me somewhat strapped on cash, i was hoping you could tell me how to tighten up "everything" in my shoulder. I'm not very concerned with my range of motion, I just want everything holding my shoulder "in" to be as tight and secure as possible and I don't know how.
vintastic319 10 months ago
@vintastic319 Can you make a video of yourself raising both arms overhead, holding your arms straight out in front of your body and (if possible) performing a push-up? I'll need to understand how your shoulder functions in order to make a recommendation.
Also, any recommendations I make will be very general. Since I cannot evaluate you to understand your particular condition I can't make specific recommendations.
