The GREATEST LOVE OF ALL is one song I never outgrow to listen.

It is an inspirational song written by MICHAEL MASSER and LINDA CREED, originally recorded by GEORGE BENSON for the 1977 MUHAMMAD ALI FILM - THE GREATEST. The original record was a minor hit for Benson.

When LINDA CREED wrote the lyrics, she was in the midst of her struggle with breast cancer. The words describe her feelings about coping with a terminal illness and being a young mother. She eventually succumbed to the disease in April 1986 at the age of 37.

The song was the fourth and final single released from My Favourite DIVA - WHITNEY HOUSTON's self-titled 13x platinum (U.S.) first studio album, WHITNEY HOUSTON, released in April 1986, and reaching NUMBER ONE on the U.S. Hot 100 chart. Label head Clive Davis was against Houston recording the song, but eventually gave in after persuasion from Masser.

WHITNEY HOUSTON is my Favourite Diva of all time. Actually, the Best Diva for me. The Quality of her Voice is Incomparable and Indescribable. One of a kind so to speak.

WHITNEY made the GREATEST LOVE OF ALL so popular to its highest peak when she interpreted the song. That's amazing!

When I first visited USA in 1994, the First CD I bought is Whitney Houston Album that include the hit song I Wanna Dance With Somebody.
