unfortunately old people go to hospital without DNR/DNI/Do not NIPPV and end up on various machines till they finally go..this is the way US healthcare system is set up; Old people should try to 'go' more naturally (at home as is the case all over the world); avoid going to hospital if old or have these papers so do not end up in long term ventilator units etc

They do it to humiliate your dignity and basic pride of human beings..in the name of medicine its not worth it.. it may ruin your life psychologically :( so dont do it! we arent meant to swallow foreign objects.
before those things we died naturally. Modern medicine has gone too far objecting us to these modern day tortures.. :(
We have to wait for more humane ways to examine our very own bodies. Those tubes and lubes arent the way we deserve.
