Lego Technic Remote Controlled 8865 + 3 motors

This video shows the original 1988 release "8865 Test Car" followed by my modification which includes remote controlled steering, driving and pop up headlights. Modifications took about 6 hours The headlights were the trickiest to automate... to avoid adding a huge gear chain, I ended up using the flex system (as used in the tyre truck 8479 and various other sets) ... to move the lever back and forwards. The end result was pretty exciting. All the original colours and pieces are used and some extra gears and power functions elements were added to motorise the model.

To me this song speaks of the way we in our lives are so taken in by everything that we're doing... that we forget that one day it's all going to end and we're going to stand before a God and be accountable for everything we've done.
We need to turn our lives to God now... and stop living for ourselves, because without Him, all of the things we desire in this world will leave us empty. We were created for God's pleasure, to have a relationship with Him. We messed up when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and gave way for sin to enter the world... and Jesus completely paid for the mess, the mistakes by giving His life as a sacrifice for our sins, taking all the sin that ever existed upon Himself... and going to hell for 3 days to pay the price (I could never imagine how that would have been). And now He has given us the free gift of righteousness, that is, right standing with God. All we have to do is surrender our lives and turn to this God of love and walk with Him!

I've been listening to the Daily Audio Bible lately... a podcast on itunes. It's soo awesome! I'd encourage everybody interested to do the same!

I like your model I have the same model and was thinking of doing the same, I have just done my set if you are intrested just search. Technic Lego 8052 motorized rc with trailer took me about 2 hours just to get the motors in. Thank for your idears

great work!! any idea how to do the same (except headlights) with a 8432??

(just asking, 'cause, i guess you took the wheels from that model... :D and would be nice to turn my 8432 into a remote controlled car..... :D) i also got an 8880, but i'd like to keep it as long as possible, and it's heavy too, so i prefer turning 8432 into RC... pls PM me if U got any idea, thx!!

yeah i watched this video but it did not drive around all it was was turning the steering whell I think you should make a id of the car driving around
