Nicholas Hawksmoors churches have gathered reputation for being at the centre of strange events and mysterious deaths
A pupil of sir Christopher wren he was commissioned build six churches in London
St Alfege's Church, Greenwich
St George's Church, Bloomsbury
Christ Church, Spitalfields
St George in the East, Wapping
St Mary Woolnoth
St Anne's Limehouse
Hopefully St George's Bloomsbury offers calm and welcome to a lot of people in the West End. As treasurer and/ or churchwarden since 1998 I know the place better than most and my experience is one of peace. I'm always happy to welcome visitors and show people around.

i lived behind st georges bloomsbury on little russell street from sept 08 to jan 10 ........lots of weird stuff happened. psychicy/supernatural/guided stuff id never experienced before. i felt as tho id been there before. frequent power outages and just a weird lucid energy. i also became obsessed w/ the ripper shortly after moving in there and had no idea what was making me research it . intense. ripper was a big part of the experience and im realising now what the hell mightve been going on

These buildings are the high points of London's architecture as far as I am concerned, Great though Wren was, Hawksmoor makes him look prosaic.
Seek these out when you visit London
