Seth Rogen talks about how he and his group of friends reacted when one of them was diagnosed with cancer, which is the basis of his new film 50/50. This is not your mother's Terms of Endearment.

  • @mohammad5 Um buddy, EVERYONE KNOWS SOMEONE WITH CANCER!!! Ask anyone, they know someone with cancer. So stop using it as something to be proud of or a way to describe yourself. "being someone who knows people with cancer...blah blah blah". My friend had Hodgkin Cancer and when he told me he immediately started making jokes. "You better come out drinking with me because....could be the last time you see me above ground". It was hilarious. Laughter is the best medicine.

  • Rewatch and listen for all the "like" that seth says :P

  • @kronker Question? when you say everybody know someone with cancer. Do you mean that in the Oh, I personally know somebody that has cancer and by personally I mean friend, relative, acquaintance, or do you mean like this celebrity has cancer that I've heard about, because I think it's kind of stupid to make such a blanket statement that could possibly be false.

  • @iWonderwallvideos Seth's friend didn't die. He wrote 50/50 or maybe he directed it, but anyways it's based on his story.

  • @kronker

Not everyone knows someone they are close with that has cancer. Also, we all have different ways of dealing with issues i guess, and this "coping mechanism" as pointed out earlier is something I don't understand. Lastly, I wish i didn't know anyone with cancer, nor does me saying it make me feel proud what so ever. If my friend said what your friend said, i'd be depressed as hell. It's a sensitive and touchy subject to me, personally.

  • @HeyPoi I guess, just being someone who knows people with cancer I just don't get it. I'm a Seth Rogen fan, but just wasn't really getting the whole aspect of this joke.

  • @mohammad5 "Humour" was their coping mechanism to the situation.
