Synopsis: Do you speak French? Eurasian adolescent Yang-Yang cannot bear to hear that question anymore. The child of a French father whom she has never met, and an ex-punk rocker Taiwanese mother, Yang Yang she is an outsider in Taiwan, always considered to be different, and often envied for her beauty and exoticism.

After her mother remarries life seems ideal as she gets a new sister and new father figure and is on her way to becoming a successful track star. That is until her ill considered love affair with the boyfriend of her new sister places her life on rocky ground forcing her to leave her new family to pursue bigger dreams and deal with even larger challenges. Yang Yang has been a festival star over the latter part of 2009 playing at Berlin and winning much kudos for the stunning performance from up and coming starlet Sandrine Pinna.
