The Pattern extends to the alternate universe. The Pattern is a series of events that seem unrelated in nature, but they will eventually lead to something. The machine Peter used, everything is part of The Pattern. Who knows? The Pattern may end up still destroying the world. Only the Observers know, and I for one, will be waiting anxiously to find out.

@1998alisa The Pattern? Now I'm not sure but didn't they conclude that storyline at the end of season 1? Since then it's been pretty much been alternate universes all around.
