Helpless When She Smiles (S2) Chapter 32 Part 4

The instinctive thrust of his hips against her sets off an alarm in his brain, he pulls back his breathing heavy, his forehead glistening with sweat and a look of utter panic on his face. Colleen looks up at him startled by the sudden space that was now between them, her chest heaving as she gasps for breath, and the look in his eyes confusing her. He sat there staring at her, her lips swollen and red, her breathing just as heavy as his, he had seen the same desire he felt in her piercing green eyes when he first pulled back, but it had now been replaced by a more confused, questioning look. He shakes his head taking deep breaths trying to calm his gasping lungs. "Sorry... Sorry... I got carried... away!" he apologizes through his laboured breathing. She bites her bottom lip "We both did." She gasps. Nick pushes himself up and sits on the edge of the bed his elbows on his knees as he runs his hands though his hair frustrated. "No. It's my fault." He asserts "We... I shouldn't be doing this!" the strain in his voice evident. Colleen moves over beside him and places her hand lovingly on his back consoling "It's okay! Nothing happened." His forearms still resting on his knees he turns his head to look at her, her timid smile, sending a new wave of Love for her through is body. "But it could have. I wanted it too!" he admits. Colleen looks down at her feet, she wanted to tell him that she wanted it too, but she knew that wouldn't make a difference, he would still be beating himself up over it. So she quietly says "It's okay Nick." before asking "Does this mean we can't be left alone together?" He sits up and looks at her surprised by what she had said, shaking his head, his curls bouncing a little he replies "No we just have to keep our cool." She leans her head on his shoulder as he takes her hand intertwining their fingers "We just need to keep it PG." He jokes trying to lighten the mood. Colleen forces a tight lipped grin "If you think so?" the whole time both of them thinking that's gonna be impossible. He nods "I do. Come on lets go see what everyone else is doing." He exclaims as he stands up pulling her up with him. She forces a grin "So you don't think we can be alone." He shrugs and sighs "I think that just right now it wouldn't be a good idea." He brushes her hair off her face tucking in behind her ear and taps the tip of her nose with his finger "It'll be okay, we can do this." Colleen smiles at his touch and kisses his cheek "You're Perfect." He grimaces before replying "I'm Far from it."

I've got a Jocey Chapter coming up oh and of course a Kesa one too.
I went back and re-read some of the very early chapters in this story and realized that I had been getting away form the funny and sweet interations between all the characters. so I'm trying to bring that back a little. I think that my writing is way better when I do that. Oh don't get me wrong there is still plenty of Drama to come... ;D Ann
