What about breaking? What is the braking distance on the water and on land. Does the Fan just feed air forwared to slow and brake?

It's not the power that propells the hovercraft but the torque. This video features a Toyota 4.0L V8 pushing this Explorer at 38 to 40 knots. Not Shabby!

Great vid shame its not a diesel i believe petrol and water never mix. Nice piece of kit though just the same

I have seen the Griffon a company in Canada Vanair hovercraft that I have limited agreement makes an 18 passenger Griffon type vehicle using a Cummings 5.9L Turbo diesel engine.
