4 main CONTENDERS @ 2002 CHICAGO MARATHON - an EPIC QUEST on the 25th anniversary

The NBC TV coverage of this marathon was masterfully woven. Here we had the male AND female world champions running in the same race. As Frank Shorter made note of in his role as commentator for this event, that phenomenon had not occurred on a marathon course since the 1984 Olympics and even then it was not as momentous because the male & female events were run separately. Indeed, for the 4 runners depicted in this video this day was an epic quest, a fitting theme for such an auspicious anniversary.
