A short segment of our outing. I put the XD-9 through the paces. It has performed flawlessly with it's first 250 rounds.

  • Nice vid! My next purchase is going to be a Springfield XD subcompact .40! I miss my .40 Glock 27 I sold to get my Yugo AK-47! I want to try the XD subcompact next!

  • @GUNQUEST21 Man that's funny! I've been looking at the Glock 27 lately. I really like the Springfields. I just want to get the 27 for hiking because it is so light for a .40 and is very rust resistant. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with either brand. I personally like the looks of the Springfield and I think both have great reliability. Glock has a little weight savings advantage. I don't know...take your pick...both are great choices.

  • What is this song called??? :D

  • @TheSacredKier The song is: Rescue Me. Artist: L4M. You can download it for free at ccmixter.org. Thanks for watching my friend!

  • I was watching Tactical Arms hosted by Larry Vickers, and he said a good way to test if you had great trigger control, was to have your gun unloaded, in the ready to fire position, and have a friend put an empty casing on the front sight. If you can press the trigger without the casing falling off, you have perfect trigger control. I havent tested that yet, but might be interesting to do. Good shooting, and a beautiful area to shoot!

  • @tim12161974 Well said my friend! My thoughts exactly.

  • Good video on a great gun. I plan on going smaller and getting the Springfield XD in sub compact and in 40 caliber next. The grouping of shots is not that bad . I have found that just using the very end of your finger on the trigger helps more with trigger control yet I am no expert on this I am getting better myself with different guns

  • Right! I loved that Glock 27... But I was short on cash and wanted my Yugo AK-47(review coming soon) bad... The Glock 27 was the oldest pistol I had, and I wanted to try something new! I will end up buying another Glock 27 on day lol! I hike every week and take my Kel-Tec PF9(review coming soon) 12.5 ounces with an uncle Mike's #16 holster to prevent rust from sweat... Can't beat that especially if you hike 5-15 as I see you do on nice long hiking, or camping trips!

  • Woo! Thanks man. So is the Springfield XD9 a good pistol? I'm getting one for Christmas. If you could make a video of you breaking it down and cleaning the gun I'd be thankful. :)

  • @SnowLobo95 That's why I started watching vids on YT and still do... To learn, because there is so much knowledge out there with everyone. I love that, and through it I have made some good friends, and just enjoy having fun with it. That's what it is all about to me.

  • @tim12161974 Hey thanks for the tip. That's why I love You Tube. I learn things every time I'm on here. I think if you are able to put your ego aside, you can improve so many things and learn from many great teachers.
