Look at the gas price in Europe.

I almost need another mortgage if I fill up my car.
Dollar goes down. Prices go up.
Sounds logical, huh?

The Dollar is up, Inventories are up, yet oil keeps going up. What gives? Could it be that Wall Street and Bank and Hedge Funds are using all that cheap money to bid up the price of oil and commodities? Where the heck else would they put that money.

This is the first time I've disagreed with Peter
Schiff.... Corporate income taxes (unlike individual), are CONSTITUTIONAL. I don't begrudge the oil industry legitimate profits, but I also don't like paying taxes to give the oil industry $18 billion per annum tax credits for the oil depletion allowance, amounst other things. I also am incensed that Exxon kept a small refinery from competeing with them in Texas.. I'm with RON PAUL: No subsidies, and moderate, constitutional, taxes .

Euroland? Lol...I guess. I dont care if Peter Schiff told me that George Washington was black I will believe him. Whatever he says has merit and he doesnt say things to be counter productive.

Actually, in this clip, Peter was (gulp) wrong, and that is what they were trying to say. Oil is massively tied to the price of the dollar, but to say that speculators have no effect on the price of oil is just not realistic. Of course speculation has an impact, but the vast majority of the upward pressure in the price of oil is inflation. Peter needs to be careful to avoid these mistakes because he gets ridiculed enough as it is (for speaking the truth).

Gary and Victoria were great there with regard to gas taxes.
Gary: yep, they'll have to add up debt or inflate to pay for the difference (unless they are going to cut on maintenance... :/).
Victoria: yep, people love toll-free highways, but they have just paid for them at the pump! Better make things more visible, and have the users paying for the service, not socialize the costs.
