For the record, I do think that Stewart can be funny & charming when he wants to be. But, as of late, he has become such an angry, whiny, self-righteous, elitist, entitlement-minded, crusading far-left ideologue, that it has really gotten quite tiring, boring & distasteful.
The Gut is far more interesting now.

So, what's the difference between Jon Stewart and a cat? A cat licks its own ass. But Jon Stewart has people to do that for him. Like Jim Cramer on last night's show.

Now, I'm not a Cramer fan. Sure, he makes stupid financial predictions on an obscure network, but if you're taking his advice, you're probably more of an idiot than he is.

But still - did you see the poor guy last night? After his stupid feud with Stewart had been simmering for a week, Cramer was now meek as a church mouse. Rather than tell the sanctimonious turd to screw himself, Cramer grabbed his ankles, and willingly got buggered for 20 minutes. Then he promised to do better, thanking Stewart for the privilege.

I don't get it. Why do people go on that show knowing that'll happen, then not even fight back? How hard is it to say "no," and preserve a little dignity? See, I've watched the Daily Show, and realize it's basically the Colisseum - an amphitheater of apes trained to reward cynical behavior designed as righteousness - even when it's not funny.

The host never challenges audience assumptions. And like trained chimps, they clap even when he blows snot rockets into his coffee. When he's funny, they should clap, but now they clap when he's not. This has turned him into America's angry nanny.


"Won't you please stop hurting America?" he seems to ask every day, even though he spends each night breeding his own brand of smirking cynicism. So it's okay if it's a game to Jon Stewart. But if it's a game to a woeful weirdo like Jim Cramer, it's bad for America. I know Stewart think's he's speaking truth to power, but really he's just speaking to a mirror. A mirror that claps.
