  • Just want to thank you for all these great uploads.. appreciate it a lot and my respect for the band only grows (saw them last weekend in Belgium).

  • @MrMotownmanny lol yes, that.

  • @Sleepyhead84 You mean The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame = )

  • @auti9314 I remember in an interview with Mark King he said that he and Mike Lindup often just made sounds instead of actual words when the demos were recorded (if the lyrics hadn't been finished or even written, I suppose). So, you're right - they're not singing actual English here, lol!

  • I love that you have this. This is a piece of music history. SHould be in Rock of Hall of Fame Museum.

  • Way cool. I wonder how a pre-press version got out back then? They definitely didn't have all the lyrics written, but had most all of the instrumentation laid out. Sounds very session-like.

  • @watdoItellmychildren Yeah, theres some serious scat singing going off here isnt there hehe. But no doubt helps shape the song quickly and efficiently. U2's Bono often does a similar thing when the band are jamming together. Another great upload, thank you!

  • Fascinating recordings! I agree with auti9314, the is another language used in them lyrics. I guess the music was written before the lyrics

  • it sounds like they aren't even singing english at some points, interesting to hear though.

  • I love this song!! My all time favorite and the REASON I met my British husband. Aren't they just the absolute best group?? Even if I can't understand everything they are saying in this particular version. ha ha Saw them in New York at the Nokia, and they were just fantastic. May they rock on forever and ever.
