Marc Gannon, chief accounting officer of the Waikiki Health Clinic, says the economic times have dramatically increased the number of patients who visit the center and need medical service. Many of the center's patients recently are among the newly unemployed. The center also sees many uninsured patients. The need for services is greater than what it can provide. His comments were made during Congressman Neil Abercrombie's Healthcare Community Forums which is gathering public input for him to take to Capitol Hill, as Congress moves to reform the nation's healthcare system.
