I found this cicada in my tomato plant today (Aug 24th, 2006). I hadn't ever seen one until now, even though everyone hears them and probably thinks that they are electrical wires. They are weirdl...

I had an adult cicada in my front yard for a couple weeks, he would sing almost every night from 8:40 to 9:40...and alot of the time he would start at exactly that time and end exactly an hour later

We have Green Grocer Cicada's here, its the start of summer and their constantly singing very loudly, also many birds eat them.

they spend most of there lives underground barrowing, I don't even think they realize they have wings...they are pretty big too

These are just simply cute and adorable. You're lucky to have found one of these easily. These are hard to find, unlike the "cicada invasion" this year.
