I found this cicada in my tomato plant today (Aug 24th, 2006). I hadn't ever seen one until now, even though everyone hears them and probably thinks that they are electrical wires. They are weirdly beautiful and nice visitors to any garden.

I had an adult cicada in my front yard for a couple weeks, he would sing almost every night from 8:40 to 9:40...and alot of the time he would start at exactly that time and end exactly an hour later
These are just simply cute and adorable. You're lucky to have found one of these easily. These are hard to find, unlike the "cicada invasion" this year.
